Giving to St Paul’s Church, Oadby
Giving is part of our worship as we give thanks to God for all that He has given us and seek to support His work in the world.
The work of running the church and upkeep of all the buildings is borne entirely by the congregation through regular giving throughout the year. There is a donations plate and contactless giving station near the entrance to the main church building on Sunday mornings and all visitors are welcome to give a gift but there is no compulsion to do so. All visitors are very welcome and there is no charge to enter the church or join a service. If you would like to give online please tick the donations button below.
The contactless giving station is available all week in the church foyer.
Please note: the Stewardship Scheme, (for regular giving), is confidential. Only the Stewardship Officer (Amos Asiimwe) the Church Treasurer (Bryan Philpott) and the Assistant Treasurer (Diane Wright) have this information.
How can I give?
- Standing Order

If you pay UK income tax and sign the Gift Aid declaration (Gift Aid Declaration(Word Format) Gift Aid Declaration(PDF Format), your giving will be increased by about a quarter.
(Upper rate taxpayers can also claim the difference between basic rate and upper rate on their tax assessment) If you are able to do so, it is the easiest method for the church.
- Contactless Giving
A contactless giving station is at the church entrance on Sunday mornings and in the church foyer the rest of the week. People wishing to donate in this way can choose from pre-set donation amounts (£2, £5, £10, £20 or £30) or choose their own amount. A receipt can be emailed if required. For donations up to £30, the church can claim Gift Aid through the Small Donations Scheme, irrespective of whether or not you pay gift aid. The church is charged a small percentage of all donations made in this way.
- Weekly Offering Plate
This is always welcome, especially as an extra, but if people used only this it would be difficult for the Church to plan its budget and does not help individuals to give in a disciplined way. We also have a contactless machine for occasional giving.
Please note that we can claim Gift Aid on any cash donations of up to £30 through the Small Donations Scheme, irrespective of whether or not you pay income tax.

Please be aware that there would be a charge of 1.95% deducted, and we are not able to claim any Gift Aid on your donation.
